Fire Sprinkler Design
Fire Alarm Design
Clean Agent Suppression System Design.
CCI provided completed fire protection engineering services for the high security headquarters building. Services included detailed design of fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and mass notification systems as well as a clean agent fire suppression system.
This project involved executive and administrative space with secure lobby and quarterdeck, Admiral’s flag suites, computer space, auditorium, SCIF, communications center, and equipment space.
Fire protection systems were designed to meet all applicable codes, limit first costs and ongoing maintenance, and to coordinate aesthetically with the building’s finishes.
The life safety design permitted the building to be constructed of unprotected construction to limit construction costs, while meeting the requirements of UFC 3-600-01 and UFC 3-600-1 ON. Means of egress systems were designed to comply with NFPA 101, the Life Safety Code.
CCI worked successfully with NAVFAC to resolve all fire protection and life safety concerns for the project.
